*Kamakura*Kyoto(1,2,3,4)*Tokyo

Highlights from this trip include a first time trip to the Nishiki Market, new sights in Arashiyama, and Fushimi Inari (10,000 Tori gates).  In addition, we ate at the amazing Takuma restaurant!

April 2013: Mom & Dad!

*Miyajima(1,2)*Hiroshima*Kyoto(1,2)*Nara*Tokyo(1,2)*Kamakura*

Highlights from this trip include discovering my favorite temple in Kyoto (Gio-ji), a walking tour in Kyoto where we participated in a traditional tea ceremony by the tour guide’s wife, the Robot Restaurant(!), and our onsen experience in Miyajima.

March 2008: Me & Mom!

*Yokosuka*Hakone*Tokyo*Nikko*Kyoto*Nara*Osaka*Hiroshima*Nagoya*Tokyo

Highlights from this trip include learning the word “Sagoy!”  This has been a highly used word in my life ever since!  Also, Mom threatened to steal one of the rocks from Ryoangi temple with its 15 rock garden fame, which was pretty funny.  We also went to the Nagoya fertility festival, ate okonomiyaki, went to Miyajima, and saw the dancing Elvis in Yoyogi park where I actually brought my cardboard cutout Elvis.  I don’t think they liked it.  Overall, this was the trip where I learned that my Mom is the coolest and I would travel with her anytime!
