Potrero Hill Walk

SMS and I decided to take the train into the city and walk around. We got off at 22nd St and headed to RH (Restoration Hardware) for lunch. It’s a “furniture gallery” and restaurant in the beautifully restored Historic Bethlehem Steel Building. SMS found it and thought it would be a cool place to check out. It was amazing!

They were serving brunch when we arrived. The menu was pretty broad. Our food, and the food at other tables, all looked really good. We thought our dishes were great. SMS had an avocado smash on very crisp bread, while I had a French omelette. It was delicious! It is pricy, but the dining room is really beautiful so in part, you’re paying for the atmosphere (we told ourselves :).

Then we went to the roof, where we took the selfie pictures above. We briefly walked through the other floors, but we wanted to check out a few houses in south Potrero.

Haha, this is where our afternoon became less bougie very quickly. I am sometimes thrown off by maps since things look very close. Like on the map, things look this close *pinches fingers together* and my steps are this wide *spreads arms apart*. Well, we definitely walked more than I and my shoe choice meant. We also walked through some not as nice neighborhoods, although it seemed safe enough. SMS disagreed, but you know, opinion differences.

We went to one open house that was a nice enough but a super weird layout. You know it’s weird when the listing real estate says “Crazy, right?!” when you talk to him as you’re leaving. Then we headed back to the 22nd St station and headed home. All in all, it was fun to check out a new neighborhood.
