Thanksgiving Eve

Thanksgiving Eve! I am just about cooked and washing dishes out…good thing I’m just bringing sides and not actually hosting. Tomorrow, SMS and I head to Guerneville to feast with a friend and her family. And play a little Left-Right-Center which I haven’t played in a long time. Apparently, we bet. We were told to have small bills ready, lol.

So, we apparently have a lot of food in our future. SMS and I are bringing a cornbread panzanella, sweet potato casserole, and a chess pie. For the last item, I was asked if I’m bringing it because they’re Southern. But I don’t think they are? They’re Texan, which I’m pretttttt-ty sure is different. I’ll get clarification tomorrow after a few glasses of wine. This is a dinner table debate topic where we will have strong opinions, I’m sure! Yes!

    1. The pie looked better than it was, unfortunately. Too many variations on chess pie and I picked the wrong one. It was fine, but not great. At the same time, it wasn’t salt-instead-of-sugar terrible. I need to keep trying. And LRC is awesome.
