December hijinks, leading up to Christmas

Two fun events worth noting! On the 19th, SMS and I headed into the city for another wonderful dinner at HK Lounge Bistro hosted by one of my colleagues/mentors. The menu included assorted dim sum, Smoked Sea BAss, Coffee berkshire baby back ribs, peking duck (exceptional), lettuce cups, calamari, dry fired string beans, dices ribeye with asparagus, and egg custard. It was amazing and really fun to hang out with the residents and their partners.

Oooo, this also reminds me that on Monday of that week, I had Peking Duck as well when my department division got together for a morale/get-together dinner. We went to Z & Y Peking Duck, which was an excellent Szechuan restaurant.

Finally, there was a baby shower at BiteUnite, where we had a cooking class and mid-afternoon feast from our hard work! It was fun to celebrate one of the resident’s pregnancy and it was a nice group who turned up. The cooking class was a little bit chaotic, but overall, a really nice idea for a group activity. Above, I am frying some egg rolls like a champ.
