5 Things Friday

  1. I am digging the Fall colors. It is so pretty here right now. I’m trying to decide if I love the ephemeral Cherry Blossoms or Fall Colors more? It is hard to decide! SMS and I went out for coffee before work since my clinic had a late start today. I could handle more work day starts like today!

2. How surprised would you be if a van that cut you off had a bumper that looked like this? I was not surprised. At all.

3. Wicked is out! Are you going to see it? I would but I do not think I can handle 2.5 hours and it’s not even the whole story. I couldn’t handle Spartacus or Ben Hur when I was a kid. I don’t think I can handle 1/2 of Wicked now. I have listened to a few songs off the soundtrack and Cynthia Erivo’s voice is amazing. On the celebrity gossip side of things, I think Ariana Grande has terrible taste in men. I think she’s the type who needs to be the hot one in the relationship.

4. Summer festival lineups have been coming out. Coachella looks decent, but in no way compels me to go. I may be forever too old for Coachella. If I’m ever really impressed by New Orleans Jazz Fest, I would definitely go again. Hangout Fest was really fun but hard to get to and, thanks to an internet search, I have learned it has been bought out and will never happen again. RIP.

5. I was told I looked very glowy today at work. I think it was 8 hours of sleep. Or moisturizer.

  1. I purposefully avoid any car that looks like that van, as I assume the damage was their fault. Just in case! As far as blossoms or fall leaves, luckily we do not have to choose! I like both of them, although I have a soft spot for Spring, as it is the idea of what is yet to come, rather than the beginning of the end.

    1. Trust me, I didn’t want to be anywhere near that van:) He cut me off (not the worst ever, but not great) and then got stuck at the red light a car up from me. I definitely didn’t engage in any way. I didn’t really care. But I thought the state of the bumper/right side of the car fit his driving style and I agree, I 100% think it would have been their fault!

  2. Yay to being glowy! I am loving the fall colors right now, and like Kyria I am glad that we don’t have to choose between fall and spring but get to enjoy them both.

      1. If I HAD to choose, I guess I would choose spring because in California that means the hills are green, which I find soothing. But I am really enjoying the colors on the trees everywhere right now!

  3. Eight hours of sleep have that effect. I wish it would just happen day.

I have never been to a festival in my entire life. Did I miss something? Or is it overrated? I Don’t care much about music and noise and many people are not my thing.

The hype for wicked has somehow passed me bye. I guess I may watch it when the streaming services pick it up but sitting in a theater for 2.5 hours. I am not used to that anymore.

    1. I have really liked my festival experiences. Even when I thought I would be too old or too anti-crowd, it’s been fun. I think the key is a lot of different stages and not needing to be near the front. I think being near the front would be pretty miserable. I’ve been there when younger but not interested now.
