It’s been two weeks since coming back from vacation! It was pretty easy to get back in the groove, but I have so many projects and, seemingly, so little time!

One of my projects is to work on this blog. I’m joining the Nablopomo for November, which is a month-long streak of daily posting. I did it last year and while I posted something for each day, there were a few backdated posts. It would be cool if I could actually keep up with posts on the daily.
Other blog to dos include going back to my France trip posts and optimizing them for SEO/AEO. I’m going to research strategies but at minimum, I need to make better titles and write small summaries for search.
I also need to update my destinations page as a way to find specific locations. I may try to vibe code a plug-in via Perplexity.ai rather than continue to pay $3/month to whomever owns the code to my currently underutilized map.

Anyways, this post is a good start! Last night, SMS and I went to a neighbors’ party which was fun although it is hard for us to rally for Friday night social events. The work week is tiring! We wore our go to costumes that we’ve had since 2015, when we bought them for a race in Japan from the local Don Quixote store. Definitely a good cost per use on that purchase!
Today, I went to Legree Pilates with friends, which was fun but was a reminder that I should do a little more core work so that I can avoid being a Pilates weakling. This afternoon, I took a little nap (see: Friday night party), followed by a quick trip to Burlingame for an open house and lobster roll.
Finally, we watched part of Game 7 at the Dutch Goose with friends, which was fun. One of the best things to come out of it was a likely girls trip plan for President’s Day weekend. Yay!
I’m glad you’re doing NaBloPoMo! Your blog plans sound complicated compared to what I do, which is nothing…I mean, I post, I comment, but that is it. Interesting on optimizing and summarizing and so on.
I liked your book reviews last year!
Happy to be back for another round of NaBloPoMo.
I also need to do so much more core work. I hate it but it is so helpful.
I also have some ideas trying vibe coding. We’ll see how far I get. I usually try to get those things done in October before NaBloPoMo starts but this year is just crazy…
Well, I’m on a two-day core streak. I’m good at short streaks, bad at maintaining! I’m excited to read your work this month!
Your costumes are so cute! I look forward to reading your posts this month!
Thanks Suzanne! The writing and reading can add up to a LOT, but I’m also looking forward to reading everyone’s posts.
I fell off the NaBloPoMo wagon this year, but I’m excited to follow along and comment as I’m able!!
Love the costumes 😉
Yay! I love this month but I understand that it doesn’t work for everyone. I follow SHU pretty regularly and it looks like your recent trip was a blast!
Hi Tierney,
I’m Daria. I live in NJ and I spent a month in France this summer as well. I was following along your adventures, which looked amazing. Except! I travelled with my two kids in tow so that was an adventure as in of itself.
We started in Provence, then Dordogne, then Loire, then Burgogne, then Alsace, and then Paris. My husband met us in Paris for the last week.
Anywho, I saw you have a post on Caudalie and I made sure I loaded up on that stuff while in France.
Isn’t it amazing how many places there are to go! I would have loved to go to Burgogne! Dordogne also sounds amazing, as well as more time in Paris. I will check out your old posts, especially when I need a vacation spirit refresh!
