Sunday school

Not a cochlear implant, but a Real Ear testing device for sound level checks for hearing amplification. In this case, an AirpodPro!

I spent a lot of time today working on a cochlear implant talk for the residents. I had a lot of fun! It was the perfect excuse to update my own fund of knowledge on recent papers. The main benefit for me is updated statistics in terms of hearing and tinnitus suppression benefit; and updated clinical practice guidelines (CPGs) from the American Cochlear Implant Alliance (ACIA) & American Audiology Association (AAA); device specific updated FDA indications. Now, I have a solid talk that’s super informative and I’m very proud of. So, work-focused Sunday but worth it!
