Looking forward to December

I am currently baking a veggie lasagna for an apartment complex Friendsgiving. I think it will be a lot of fun, and it’s good to be social. I was thinking I could write a quick post about the things I’ve cooked this weekend. But I’ve already covered the recipes in the Thanksgiving post so, instead, I will write down a few things I’m looking forward to in December:

  • December 5: Holiday complex party. I am now realizing this conflicts with reservations I have at the Four Seasons for their Winter Wonderland. Hmmmm, must think and deconflict. Maybe Four Seasons, then the party?
  • December 6: Ladies Christmas brunch
  • December 10: Book Club (Buckeye)
  • December 11-12: Office afternoon parties. One is in the city in a little hall, the other is at a bowling alley. I have worn tacky sweaters to the city one the past two years and each time, felt ridiculous as the only person. So, I will dress up for that one and save the sweater for the bowling alley.
  • December 12-14: San Diego trip with SMS’ sister’s annual Christmas party on 12/13
  • December 22-24: Whirlwind trip to Pensacola, FL to see my siblings and their families
  • December 24-29 and December 31- January 4: Two long weekends in a row. SMS and I think it would be great to travel somewhere on one of those weekends, but that’s as far as we’ve gotten.

  1. This sounds like a fun holiday season ahead. I am also taking two long weekends at the end of the year. That worked out perfectly (it rarely does!).
